LOGOS – Building Christian Relationships

LOGOS meets every Wednesday (Sept. – April) from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Westminster Hall.

LOGOS is one of the ways our church celebrates our young people and their relationship with God while establishing Christian relationships across the generations.

  • To create understanding and desire in young people for accepting Christ as Lord and Personal Savior.
  • To develop intelligent active, loyal membership and leadership in the church; To give worthwhile study, wholesome recreation, and opportunities for service, all bound up in a true Christian fellowship; and To develop the kind of Christian who are able and willing to communicate their faith and to assume personal responsibility in assisting in the building of God’s kingdom on earth.

BIBLE STUDY is the heart of the GenOn program. The goal is to nurture our children and young people into intelligent, obedient discipleship.

CHOIR/WORSHIP SKILLS: Preparation for and participation in the worship life of the congregation. From singing to bell choir and theater, these skills are utilized in First Presbyterian’s Sunday worship services. Every GenOn member is encouraged to attend each Sunday, especially on those occasions when their Gen Onage group is sharing in worship.

SENIOR HIGH: Grade 9-12 meets on Wednesdays October through May as a part of the GenOn program, sharing the Bible study, worship skill, and recreation. At dinner they share the fellowship at their own table. The Seniors seek to develop relationships through fellowship outside of the GenOn program as well, with involvement in service projects, caravans, and activities such as hayrides, ice skating, parties, lock-ins and concerts.

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Grades 6-8, also meets as a part of the GenOn program on Wednesday, October through May taking part in Bible study, recreation and worship skills. Middle School group meets also on Sunday morning for Church School studies.
