THE CHURCH BULLETIN BOARD
Decorating the church for Christmas will begin after worship today, Nov. 26 so we are ready for the first Sunday of Advent, which is Dec. 3 this year. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to help decorate after worship today.
Please mark your calendars and be ready to pull up your sleeves today, November 26, at Westminster Hall from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. for the Community Blood Drive. Blood Drives such as ours account for more than 60% of the blood needed to keep our local hospitals adequately supplied during a critical time of need in our community. Please contact Marilyn Minor at 816-373-6238, for more information
Children’s Christmas Craft Day will be next Saturday, December 2, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Children’s Wing of the church (downstairs) for children Kindergarten through 6th grade. Three-and four-year-old children are welcome but will need an adult to stay and help them. Call the church office or Bonnie Ratcliff (706-936-0327 or email@example.com) to RSVP.
Cub Scout Pack 4282 will be having their 29th Annual Chili Fundraiser Dinner next Saturday, December 2, from 12:00 – 6:30 p.m. at Westminster Hall. A $6.00 donation per person or $7 at the door will include all the chili you desire and/or turkey soup. Please see Bob Stikeleather for more information.
Everyone is invited to celebrate with Arlene Miller on her 80th birthday, next Sunday, December 3 after worship, in the Parlour. There will be refreshments, fellowship, and fun for all. Come wish Arlene “happy birthday.”
Attention all ladies of the church! Please join the Presbyterian Women for their Christmas Gathering on December 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Westminster Hall as they create Gingerbread Houses. Kits will be provided. There will also be a presentation on the history of Gingerbread Houses. Please bring a gift for the Della Lamb Christmas Store. More details are on the Bulletin Board or contact Emily Johnson and RSVP at 254-5346.
The ChristCare Small Group Divine Design will be taking a break during the holidays from November 23 through December and will resume on Thursday, January 4, 2018, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The group meets in the room upstairs nearest Bonnie’s office. Newcomers always welcome!
Available on the credenza are Church Officer Nomination forms. Please consider who among our members you might nominate for service, or you may nominate yourself. Completed forms may be placed in the collection plate or turned into the office.
Due to the roofing materials in the small lot, north of the church, parking will be limited until the new roof is installed. We are sorry for the inconvenience, while blessed to have insurance that pays for the repairs.
